MAKING LIFE BETTER AND EASIER

A comprehensive range of first quality tools and equipment essential to the life of smallholder farmers in Africa and other regions of the developing world. Basic tools, such as hoes and machetes are complimented by other products designed to improve the quality of life of the farmers and their families.

HARVESTING KNIVES, available for Cocoa and Palm Oil

The Cocoa harvesting knives are pressed from carbon steel in one piece, both cutting edges are sharpened at the factory. The complete knife is powdered coated black.

The Palm Oil Harvesting Knives are forged in Europe from carbon steel are hardened and tempered; ground cutting edge. There are two sizes available 12” for harvesting bunches from young trees and a 17” for harvesting bunches from more mature trees. The 12” pattern has two fixing holes, the 17” pattern has a right angled tang at the end of handle for securing to wooden pole.

KNAPSACK SPRAYERS

The knapsack sprayers are moulded polypropylene yellow tanks of: 12 litre, 16 litre and or 20 litre capacities. The piston operated knapsack sprayers are either left or right hand operation, blue fittings; supplied with single nozzle aluminium lance as standard – telescopic lance and herbicide nozzles are also available. The tank is graduated in litres.
The knapsack sprayers are tested and certified by Ghanaian and Nigerian Cocoa Research Institutes.
They are packed in individual 4 colour cartons.

MACHETES

The machetes are produced from high carbon steel, hardened and tempered throughout; rolled and grooved for optimum balance and appearance, polished and sharpened in factory before despatch. The machetes have white hardwood handles which are fixed with three steel rivets and all blades are clearly marked and labelled.
All machetes individually wrapped in plastic sheets and packed in strong strapped cartons of 60 pieces. The are available in 8 patterns from 14” up to 22”.

HOES and FORKS

The hoes and forks are forged from high carbon steel equivalent to international standard SAE 1062, hardened and tempered to produce tough, hardwearing blades and tines. They have all ground digging edges.
Hoes and forks are finished either with polished, black or silvered edges/tines and readily identifiable markings; packed in individual printed kraft envelopes then into strong, strapped cartons of 24 pieces.
All hoes and forks comply with international standards of quality and workmanship and available in 10 different patterns.

LOW PRESSURE DRIP IRRIGATION SYSTEMS

These irrigation systems are developed specifically for smallholder farms and are
available for area’s of 50 m2 up to 400 seedlings, 200 m2 up to 1.400 seedlings,
500 m2 up to 3.000 seedlings and 2000 m2 up to 13.000 seedlings

TANK DRIP IRRIGATION KIT

This drip irrigation kit has been developed for the more commercially minded farmer who wishes to irrigate an area of up to 300 Sq M planted with about two thousand vegetable seedlings.
The water reservoir is a 1000 litre plastic tank which is supported approx. 1.5 M above the prepared seed beds to give the required head. The flow is controlled by means of a ball valve and water passes to the low pressure irrigation drip tapes via a 25mm delivery hose, a filter and a series of connectors. The kit is extremely flexible as the farmer can design his garden layout according to the number of planting beds he requires to work at any one time. This kit is simple to install and affordable in price and by using it in conjunction with a suitable crop management programme it is possible to reduce water usage by up to fifty percent and increase crop yields dramatically.

SMALLHOLDER IRRIGATION KIT

Designed specifically for the smallholder farmer to irrigate small areas of the
farm, kitchen garden or back yard. This drip irrigation kit irrigates an area of
30 Sq M planted with approximately two hundred vegetable seedlings.
The water reservoir is a 20 litre (4.5 gallon) bucket (not provided with the kit)
which is suspended/supported approximately 1.5 metres above the seed bed
to give the required head.
This kit is simple to install, robust and affordable and when used in conjunction with a suitable crop management programme it is possible to reduce water usage by up to fifty percent and increase crop yields dramatically
